Wildlife

Given our proximity to the best open space in North London, it’s no surprise that Lissenden Gardens is abundant with wildlife. Listed here are some of the creatures you might see from your garden or balcony. If you have any to add please email info@lissendengardens.co.uk, we would love to build up a comprehensive list of what visitors we get. If you would like any further information about any of these animals please visit the links provided.

If you have a bird feeder and want to maximise its effectiveness, place it away from the road, ideally in line with some trees. A lot of the local birds like to pop out to feed from the safety of a tree branch or large bush. If you have neither near you, try experimenting with well-placed twigs or sticks on the balcony so that the birds might find a safe place to launch from. They tend to feed on location, and will ‘do the rounds’, then return to their trees. And of course, keep the feeders away from cats!

Please email the website if you have anything to add to our lists, or any good photos to make a page of lists more interesting.
