Sanctuaries on the Fault Lines

Sanctuary on the Fault Lines was founded and is cared for by dancer Hayley J S Matthews, a Lissenden Gardens resident.

The professional women dancers of Sanctuary on the Fault Line wild dances have become fugitive and wild, setting themselves free to do this work. If you are lucky to have one close by, find her in the wild spaces in your neighbourhoods. Witnessing her dance will soothe you, empower you, ground and lift you, hold you, re-wild you, help you find your way ( you can ask her about the science of this).

Sanctuary is a global, ongoing dance project. Each dancer has details of where and when she dances and a method to contact her for an exact location on the ENSEMBLE website. Each dancer operates in our Sanctuary on the Fault Line gift economy, and has a link to give her a financial offering when you go and seek her out. This means she can continue her work. Dances are also announced on our Instagram page @faultlinesdancenetwork. We livestream on instagram also, when lockdowns mean we cannot have live audiences.
