SHARED AMENITIES in Lissenden Gardens

In addition to the tennis court and general bin storage, Lissenden Gardens has a few other shared amenities for residents. Unfortunately most of them have waiting lists, but all are for all, so if you are interested here is a short ‘how to’ guide for each:

Garden plots - there are garden plots along the back of the gardens belonging to Parliament Hill Mansions. The plots are gardened by Lissenden residents however the waiting list is currently closed.

Garages - there are a handful of garages behind the Estate office at Clevedon Mansions. The wait list is probably years long but you can enquire here.

Lock-ups under Clevedon Mansions - there are a limited number of (damp) storage cupboards available to rent from Camden Council, via a very long waiting list.

Bulk refuse shed - the shed by the enclosed flower beds (behind The House and opposite the passageway to the heath) is available to all residents to dispose of large, individual household rubbish items. It is not for building or garden waste. There is a combination code on the door. Please contact your staircase rep for the code.

Bicycle parking - Two garages behind 1-8 Clevedon Mansions have been converted into bike sheds. These are run via the LGTA. There is currently a waiting list.

If you have a bicycle there that you no longer use please contact Lindsay or Natasha via the LGTA, as there are spaces that can’t be accounted for and it would be good to free them up for people who need them.

There are also four bike hangers installed by Camden Council, one up at the top by Highgate Road (hangar no. 2301) one outside 56-75 Lissenden Mansions (hangar no. 2303) and two outside The Wedge. Cyclehoop have been enlisted by Camden Council to manage the hangars. Go to the Cyclehoop website to register for a place on the waiting list.
